ArtScience Museum: Into the Wild

Challenge

How do you make the invisible threat of deforestation feel personal? The ArtScience Museum needed a "breakthrough" experience to educate visitors about Southeast Asia’s fragile rainforests and drive real-world action for the WWF.

The Idea

We created "Into the Wild," a massive mixed-reality adventure that transformed the museum into a virtual rainforest. As Art Director, I utilized Google’s Tango technology to turn the building into a spatial canvas. Using computer vision and depth-sensing, visitors tracked through the halls to interact with endangered animals in a digital ecosystem.

The experience bridged the digital and physical: when a visitor planted a virtual tree, a real tree was donated by sponsors and planted by WWF in Indonesia, turning a virtual gesture into a permanent environmental legacy.

The Result

The exhibition became a global benchmark for "AR for Good," raising significant funds and awareness for WWF. The project was highly decorated by the industry, winning a Silver Cannes Lion (Digital Craft) and multiple Webby Awards.
